JOB SUMMARY
- Responsible for the construction and management of PHL projects.
   
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Operational
- Preparation of site and coordination of other construction team members involved in the project
- Prepare work programmes, work method statements and quality & safety management plans
- Harmonize all working drawings/specifications and ensure it’s full implementation on site
- To execute all projects with zero defects according to the company’s set standard i.e. quality of project delivered
- Ensuring the project conforms to regulatory HSE standards and ensure site cleanliness
- Ensure project is delivered on time and within budget
- Generate construction bills and site progress reports to the PM as at when due
- Nominating, pre-qualifying and managing sub-contractors
   
Innovation
- Development of construction manual (policies, processes & methodologies) to be used in domiciled construction site
- Research and propose alternate building solutions
   
Leadership
- Ensure effective and continuous communication is maintained on site such as updates on revised drawings, scheduled site meetings/briefings, change in construction processes etc. continuous flow of information
- Ensure implementation of value-added construction processes in domiciled company site
- Create an atmosphere where good team spirit exists between colleagues and sub-contractors
- Lead, mentor and supervise the construction team in line with the company’s organisational goals
   
Relationship
- Liaise with project consultants (engineers, architects etc.)
- Provide access to existing database of construction teams including but not limited to quality subcontractors, suppliers and skilled labour
- Liaising with local regulatory authorities to ensure smooth running of project sites
- Ensure cordial relationship with team members and maintain control of domiciled site
   
COMPETENCES AND KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Exceptional problem solving, organizational, and time management skills with high level of attention to detail
- Negotiation of full contract terms with subcontractors and vendors
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, concurrent projects and aggressive deadlines
   
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- BSc./MSc. in a related field precisely Architecture, Building, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
- Must be a corporate member of NIOB, NIQS OR NSE and be registered with CORBON, QSRBN or COREN at a chartered level
- Minimum of 5 years of Post Qualification Experience with expert knowledge on building products, construction details, relevant rules/ regulations and quality standards
- Must be computer literate and proficient with the use of Microsoft Office
